Day 4 - Overnight Sailing

Sunrise after our first night at sea.
Our first night at sea went amazingly well - good breeze, steady seas and no need for a noisy engine. Just to add a bit of icing to our cake, we had a near full moon and crystal clear skies. How good is that to get back your sea legs and build the confidence?
The rest of the day was a mix of sailing and motor sailing with a light and fickle southerly that failed to build. We have elected to bypass Coffs and head direct to the Gold Coast Seaway and get a few spare days under the belt. Unfortunately the breeze has all but died this evening so it is motor sail until something exciting happens. ETA at GCSW is 1800 hrs Friday.

  1. Nice shot! Sounds like a good run so far. BTW: ETA at GCSW would be 1400hrs Friday if you went up 2 holes in the clew board :)
